Change of venue for the 8th July

The staging of the Wireless festival in Finsbury Park on 8th of July means we won’t have access to run our usual Saturday session. So for this one day we are relocating the session to: Lordship Recreation Ground, Tottenham, N17 6BD. Nearest tube Wood Green or Turnpike Lane. Nearest Overground Bruce Grove.
Buses 217 &231 stop at Granville Road, or 243 & 123 buss to The Roundway / West Arm.

Usual time 12-4pm

Fabulous fundraising cyclists

Pedal Power is hugely grateful for our cyclists who took part in the sponsored ride ‘The Italian Job’ last weekend. Taylor Roark & his team and PP member Christie’s Dad Paul McCarthy battled the 100km ride to the Chilterns & back to raise over £2000 for Pedal Power. A big thank you from all at Pedal Power.

Saturday 24th June on the track

Pedal’s Powers session on Saturday 24th June will be on the Athletics track. With the build up to the large music festivals in the park the usual tarmac area will be taken up. Drivers please note there is also no parking along the part of the road in front of the tarmac / basketball courts/ cafe. Parking is allowed to the left as you enter Hornsey Gate. This will be place for several weeks until after the Wireless Festival.

We have a pair of tickets each for the Community Festival on the 1st July and the Wireless Festival on the 7th! We are holding a raffle for them. Get in touch this weekend of come along to our Saturday session to buy a raffle ticket. £1 a ticket.

Pedal Power at Cycling Festival 18th June

Come join us for an extra session this Sunday 18th June in Finsbury Park. We’ll be taking part in the Festival of Cycling & Walking, as well as welcoming back our team of riders doing the 100km Sponsored Ride ‘The Italian Job’.
12-4 as usual near the Basketball courts.


Sat session 10th June goes ahead amid concert

There’s a concert in Finsbury Park tomorrow (10th June). We’ll be going ahead with our Sat session on a reduced area near the basket ball courts. Be aware that parking won’t be allowed inside the Park this weekend, though we hope that the concert organisers will allow drop-offs for Pedal Power members with blue badges.

Annual General Meeting

Pedal Power invites you all to this year’s AGM.

Time: Tuesday, 23rd May 7-9pm

Location: CENTRE 404, 404 Camden Rd, London N7 0SJ

Meeting will include

• The HIT Squad: a team of therapists from Hackney Ark will talk about their aim to improve access to leisure for children and young people with additional needs. They offer training courses to leisure staff, and can work with individual children and young people to ensure that the child’s specific needs are being met within the leisure activity of their choice.
• Club update
• Your chance to ask questions
• Tea & biscuits

Nearest tube is Holloway Road or Caledonian Road (Piccadilly/blue line)
No parking at venue but can park along the street.
Bus stop on Camden Rd: Hillmarton Rd/ HMP Holloway. Includes 253 & 29 buses from Finsbury Park station.

Easter Sessions

Pedal Power is running all its sessions as usual throughout the Easter period. Come along for an Easter ride.

Sessions stay on the Athletics Track

All Saturday sessions will be held on the Athletics track until further notice.
This is great news as it’s a much larger space to cycle in and is fenced off all around so very secure for our riders.
Look to enter from the back entrance of the track – the opposite side to the track building, near the Hornsey Gate.

Pedal Power Sessions 2017

Pedal Power session have started back following our winter break. These are: Finsbury Park every Tuesday & second Saturday, plus every Thursday at the Emirates Stadium. See our Calendar page for more details. Sessions are free to attend, you’ll just need to fill in a registration form when you arrive.

Apologies if anyone was worried by the lack of website these last few weeks. We’ve been having some technical difficulties, which is all sorted out now.
